Territory start-ups and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pitch for a $1 million investment, with the Darwin Innovation Hub (DIH) launching Croc Pitch - the ultimate pitch event.

DIH has partnered with Startcon’s National Pitch Competition and will host the regional final during October Business Month’s Innovation Week. Entrepreneurs from all over the Territory are invited to pitch their opportunity and showcase their ideas for a chance to win!

The Croc Pitch prize includes a $50,000 Business Innovation Support Initiatives (BISI) grant from the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation that will be matched with a $50,000 cash investment from the Paspalis Innovation Investment Fund.

Competitors are invited to attend Croc Camps in both Alice Springs and Darwin to check their value proposition, polish up on pitching skills and receive practical advice from experts and previous pitch competition judges. In Alice Springs, DIH is teaming up with Desert Knowledge Australia to deliver the August Croc Camp.

In addition to the cash, this incredible first prize includes high calibre mentoring, sponsored membership in the DIH, a visit to the Austrade Landing Pad in Shanghai as well as the opportunity to compete in the Startcon National Pitch final in Sydney with a further $1 million investment prize up for grabs.

As the biggest pitch competition in the Asia-Pacific region, Startcon brings together over 600 start-ups and 400 leading investors, from 15 cities, across a series of one day events in each city.

Regional winners from each city receive flights and accommodation to Startcon 2018 where they itch in front of 4,000 people. The winning start-up will be announced in Sydney, Australia on 1 December 2018, during the Startcon conference. The Pitch for $1 Million Regional Final events will bring together start-up founders, investors and other players from each local ecosystem.
