  • Investor Pitch Workshop Series

    Territory founders, startups and innovators can now register for a new investor pitch training program designed to help transform innovative ideas into investor-ready opportunities.

    Delivered across 4 interactive workshops from July to October, the program will provide practical guidance on how to build, refine and confidently deliver a compelling pitch to investors, funding providers and industry stakeholders.

    Participants will learn what investors are looking for, develop a clear and credible pitch narrative, understand the key numbers behind their business and receive practical feedback to strengthen their presentation skills.

    The workshops will be led by Dante St James and Alex Farrugia, bringing together founder, startup and investment expertise to help participants develop stronger, investor-ready pitches.

    Workshops will be delivered in person in Darwin and online, ensuring innovators from across the Northern Territory can participate.

    • Thursday 30 July 2026, 5:30pm to 7:00pm
    • Thursday 20 August 2026, 5:30pm to 7:00pm
    • Thursday 10 September 2026, 5:30pm to 7:00pm
    • Thursday 1 October 2026, 5:30pm to 7:00pm

    Participation is free for eligible applicants; however, places are limited.

    October Business Month (OBM) is back in 2026 with some of Australia’s most accomplished entrepreneurs headlining this year’s program.

    OBM Keynote speakers

    OBM is the Northern Territory’s premier annual business event providing access to a month-long program of inspirational and education events designed to inspire and grow Territory businesses.

    Under the theme ‘Embracing Change’, the OBM 2026 program will explore how local businesses can adapt to rapidly changing technologies, shifting market demands and evolving workplace dynamics.

    Tickets are now on sale for this year’s keynote program, which will feature four flagship events across Alice Springs, Darwin and Katherine, including:

    • Friday 2 October – Alice Springs: Founder and CEO of New Era Energy Ms Renee Wootton Tomlin
    • Friday 9 October – Darwin Women in Business Lunch: Founder of Share the Dignity Ms Rochelle Courtenay
    • Friday 16 October – Katherine business dinner, featuring stand-up comedian Brett Blake
    • Friday 30 October – Darwin: Co-Founder of THE ICONIC and Hatch Mr Adam Jacobs.

    Each keynote event will include a panel discussion with local Territory Success Stories, showcasing the achievements of businesses across the Territory. The Katherine event will celebrate the resilience of Big Rivers businesses through one of the most challenging disaster seasons in recent years.

    OBM partner events will continue to be held on the calendar along with the Business Support Series of events aimed at focusing on the needs of business communities across the regions.

    The full OBM 2026 program will be launched in September.
