National Science Week 2020 grants

National Science Week 2019

National Science Week 2019 ran from 10 to 18 August this year. There were 2,077 events registered on the National Science Week website, and more than 1.5 million people joined in.

Unsurprisingly, there were many space themed events about the moon, Apollo 11, Aboriginal astronomy and more. But there were also a myriad of other topics like Antarctic science, dinosaurs, archaeology, Harry Potter trivia night, the periodic table, tackling waste, the human brain, gut biome, our oceans, the science of wine, science in the garden, plastic munching critters…. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Or should we say Fatberg - because they had one of those too!

Grants for National Science Week 2020 are now open. Grants of between $2,000 and $20,000 are available to support events across the country. National Science Week will be held from 15 to 23 August 2020.

Applications close on 30 October 2019.
