The Florey Medal is one of Australia's most esteemed awards in the health sciences. It is awarded biennially to an Australian biomedical researcher for significant lifetime achievements in biomedical science and / or human health advancement.
The medal will be presented at the AAMRI Annual Convention Dinner which is scheduled to be held at Parliament House Canberra on 24 November 2021. In addition to the silver medal, the award carries a prize of $50,000 thanks to the generous support of CSL Limited.
The Florey Medal is part of the Tall Poppy Campaign which aims to recognise and promote scientific and intellectual excellence in Australia.
