The search is on for young innovators in agriculture, fisheries and forestry!

Applications are now open for the 2022 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

There are 12 industry award categories: biosecurity and digital innovation; cotton; eggs and poultry (layers); established, new and emerging rural industries; fisheries and aquaculture; forest and wood products; grains; horticulture; pork; red meat processing; viticulture and oenology; and wool.

Each category includes a $22,000 grant, and the winners of each industry category will be invited to apply for the Minister for Agriculture and Northern Australia's Award, granting an additional $22,000 to extended their project!

If you're aged between 18 and 35, have an original research project idea that relates to a significant, longstanding or emerging agricultural issue and dedication to the future of rural and regional industries, we encourage you to apply for the awards on the Australian Government's Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment website.
