Nominations are now open for the 2020 Young Tall Poppy Awards. The program is managed by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science (AIPS) and supported by the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation.
The Tall Poppy Campaign, created in 1998 by AIPS, recognises and celebrates Australian intellectual and scientific excellence by encouraging early career researchers to follow in the footsteps of our outstanding achievers. It has made significant achievements towards building a more publicly engaged scientific leadership in Australia.
2019 was one of the awards' most successful years so far with over 340 applications received and 63 Young Tall Poppy Awards made.
Information on the winners from each state and the recipients of the Young Tall Poppy of the Year awards for each state and territory are listed on the Australian Institute of Policy and Science website.
Nominations opened on Wednesday 4 March 2020 and will close at close of business (Sydney time) on Wednesday 15 April 2020.
For information about eligibility and the link to the online application, go to the Australian Institute of Policy and Science website.
