Northern Territory (NT) Business Innovation client, NT Resurfacing, is developing breakthrough technology that will make ‘child’s play’ of playground maintenance.
Playground123 is disrupting the traditional paper based playground inspection and audit process that has remained largely unchanged within the sector for more than 30 years.
Playground owners and operators have an on-going duty of care to maintain a safe and compliant play space. This ensures children can use playgrounds without the risk of serious injuries. This is achieved through a variety of mechanisms including regular on-site in-person inspections and annual audits to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
A ‘software as a service’ platform, Playground123 allows individuals to undertake real-time digital inspections and audits of playgrounds to ensure they meet the Australian Standards. In addition, playground owners will be able to manage their playgrounds in real time using accurate data to make decisions on all aspects of strategic planning, infield maintenance and risk management.
Playground123 has an app that links to the cloud and a management website portal to create a complete digital solution. This digital solution is based on a unique process (identify, manage, eliminate) to ensure the effective use of technology.
“This technology is being developed in the NT but could be an international game changer in this sector. Thanks to the support of the NT Government, a Territory business is developing leading technology for the world.”
