Investigate how government can maximise intellectual property (IP) practices to support innovation

Summary

In 2018 a consultant was engaged and has completed the study into government IP support for business innovation. The findings and recommendations have been used to:

• underpin practices and program planning for the Territory Innovation Challenges Program, the Business Innovation Program and the Business Acceleration Program.
• develop partnerships and inter-agency working groups which enable the sharing of IP across the Territory's Government departments.
• promote training and education opportunities for end-users to understand IP policies and build the capacity of local IP practitioners.
