The Northern Territory (NT) Government’s Business Innovation Support Initiatives (BISI) program is continuing to support innovation in small business in the NT, creating new economic opportunities and jobs for Territorians.
The BISI program provides funding support to help NT businesses undertake research and development to advance innovative project ideas.
There are two types of BISI funding available:
- the innovation voucher scheme - up to $25,000
- the innovation grant scheme - round based competitive grants up to $60,000.
A recent recipient of an innovation grant was local mum-of-three and founder of Covertact, Sally Major.
Sally received business advice and financial support through the BISI program and has now turned her idea of slash-proof protective garments into a reality.
