The Northern Territory Digital Excellence Awards formally celebrates individuals and organisations for outstanding digital achievement and innovation in the NT and is the premier information communication and technology (ICT) event of the year.
Nominations for the awards are currently open with nominations being accepted for 9 categories including the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade Innovation of the Year. This award recognises digital innovation developed in the Territory and/or by Territorians that delivers any combination of new economic, social, environmental value.
Digital innovation delivers strong prospects to improve wellbeing across society including, for example, improved individual and population health outcomes, a sustainable and climate stable environment, a more inclusive community, and better government. Analysis by Deloitte Access Economics has found the productivity dividend from digital innovations has resulted in a 6.5% increase in economic activity, equivalent to an additional $126 billion in gross domestic product to the Australian economy.
Submit your nomination through the NT Digital Excellence Awards by 15 September. The innovation must be in production (that is beyond prototype) and is open to businesses headquartered in the Territory.
