Darwin-based tech start-up Raindrop is set to transform the insurance industry with an AI-powered platform that simplifies complex insurance policies into clear, easy-to-understand language.
Formed by a team of insurance professionals and technology innovators, Raindrop’s mission is to make insurance information more accessible and transparent. The platform reads, interprets and translates policy documents, helping brokers, underwriters and clients save time while gaining newfound clarity.
The project is supported through the Northern Territory Government’s innovation program, which provides grant funding and expert advice to help Territory businesses develop and commercialise new technologies.
Building the future of AI in the Territory
Raindrop’s Founder and CEO Jasmin Flori-Hess said the team’s belief in Darwin’s potential was central to the company’s formation and growth.
“People said we were crazy, but we knew the opportunity and the capability was in Darwin to build Raindrop,” Ms Flori-Hess said.
“This is where Raindrop belonged. It’s my home, and I saw incredible potential here.”
Driven by a vision to grow cutting-edge AI capability in the Territory, Raindrop is combining deep industry knowledge with advanced technology to deliver smarter, more user-friendly tools for the insurance sector.
“We wanted to be part of building the future of the Territory by bringing cutting-edge AI technology here,” Ms Flori-Hess said.
