Nominations are now open for the Australian Institute of Policy and Science's 2021 Florey Medal. With dramatic advances in health and science in 2020, it is more important than ever to acknowledge those who work in the Australian biomedical science and human health fields.
The biennial award acknowledges an Australian biomedical researcher for significant lifetime achievements in biomedical science and / or human health advancement. In addition to the highly esteemed silver medal, the award carries a prize of $50,000.
The award is named in honour of the Australian Nobel Prize-winning scientist, Sir Howard Florey, a pharmacologist and pathologist who developed penicillin.
Nominations must be submitted before 5pm (AEST) on Friday 16 July 2021.
