Improving innovation indicators - consultation paper

Improving Innovation Indicators

The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science have released a consultation paper relating to the Australian Government's Innovation Metrics Review.

The review will recommend the development of a specific suite of metrics that more fully captures innovation and thereby supports better decision-making in Australia. The review will also develop a roadmap to track innovation more accurately in the future.

The consultation paper is now open to the public, to acquaint innovation system stakeholders with the review’s progress to date, and to provide a broader range of stakeholders with the opportunity to contribute to the review.

The primary aim of this first public consultation process is to ensure that all the key issues have been identified and to seek feedback on the relative priority of these issues.

To read about the progress and to find out how you can contribute further please read more about the public consultation on the Australian Government's Department of Industry, Innovation and Science website.
