Six Territory businesses that participated in the Business Innovation Program (BIP) have recently graduated, commercialising / implementing their business innovations with assistance from the Northern Territory Government.
Business Innovation will be hosting a graduation ceremony for graduating businesses this October to coincide with October Business Month.
The BIP graduating businesses are:
- Sterling NT - partnering with Daitum, Sterling NT were able to implement artificial intelligence into their business systems, increasing efficiency and productivity within the company and workforce.
- Coleman's Printing - during the sudden shift in the workplace brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Coleman's Printing was able to bring to market a flat-pack temporary desk made completely from cardboard, suitable for the home office or social distancing workplace.
- Baby Bum Shower - developed by two Darwin nurses, the Baby Bum Shower is a re-usable on-the-go solution to cleaning your baby's bottom and your hands, being clean, efficient and reducing landfill from baby wipes. The Baby Bum Shower has launched in Australia and the USA and is investigating option for moving to wholesale.
- Darwin Military Museum - a new mobile app, designed to provide visitors with a more interactive experience in the Darwin Military Museum has been introduced with positive feedback received from guests at the museum.
- Okasport - development of Squad Netball, a sports technology platform for athletes, coaches and sporting clubs to access the highest quality features that will enable them to enhance every aspect of their on-court and off-court performance. The platform is scheduled to launch in August 2021.
- Spinesuit - A functional apparel designed to improve spinal alignment and can be worn as a base layer under clothing while people train, perform and recover from back pain. Spinesuit is currently in the final stages of development and is expected to launch later in 2021.
