With the release of the National Emerging Aviation Technologies (NEAT) policy statement on 6 May 2021, the digital aviation sector is set to fly.
The policy has committed to a range of initiatives that will create a scalable, efficient and adaptable ecosystem for emerging aviation technologies. The policy development is significant due to the far reaching benefits this sector can bring, both socially and economically, to remote and often isolated communities in the NT.
The policy initiatives also include development of Australia’s Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management system, regulatory modernization and providing industry support.
