Students from remote communities in the Northern Territory and from top-end schools participated in drone coding and programming workshops supported by Inspiring Australia and the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, Australian Government.

Dr Farha Sattar, an academic and researcher at Charles Darwin University conducted drone coding and programming workshops at Katherine and Darwin. The event was met with enthusiasm and marked a significant step towards fostering STEM literacy and skill empowerment.

Dr Sattar's guidance led students to conceptualise and implement solutions using drone technology, igniting a passion for innovation and problem-solving.

Participants learned the basic principles of drone programming and got hands-on experience with real drones, watching their coding efforts translate into real-world actions. By engaging in practical exercises, they gained insights into how drone technology is transforming everyday life and contributing to solutions for global challenges.

These workshops introduced students to the evolving world of drones and equipped them with essential STEM skills for a brighter future.
