The FIRST LEGO League introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together.
Students join teams depending on their age from Discover (ages 4 to 6), Explore (ages 6 to 10) and Challenge (ages 9 to 16). From Discover, to Explore, and then to Challenge; the aim is for students to understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.
NT Catholic Education is running a FIRST LEGO League in Darwin on 9 November and is looking for volunteers to assist on the day. To find out more, volunteers are requested to contact Roy Anderson via email.
