The NT Series of the National Innovation Games gears up for a third and final challenge

National Innovation Games NT Series - Challenge #3

The National Innovation Games has been gearing up for their third and final event of the Northern Territory (NT) series. Launched in March 2021, in tandem with the NT Energy Innovation Network, the games final event will be a hybrid in-person / virtual event hosted at the Darwin Innovation Hub on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 September 2021.

Bringing together small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with education institutions, industry and government; these carefully curated teams address challenges faced by a business, community or industry sector.

The previous events in the series have delivered two virtual challenges for the NT:

All participants (students and business alike) have the opportunity to digitally upskill themselves through access to design thinking, collaborative software tools and industry experts to better position themselves for problem solving and future employment.

"The National Innovation Games is more than a challenge, it's a one-stop-shop that equips you with the requisite skills for the world of work."

Daniel Dodzi Yao Setsoafia, PhD in Condensed Matter Physics, Charles Darwin University

With a significant NT talent pool emerging alongside an NT solution portfolio of open source intellectual property, the challenges are proving a fun and insightful way for Territorians to work together supporting an industry led innovative renewable sector.

"The games are a great opportunity to step outside your business, put your problem to a group of intelligent, knowledgeable people and learn new ways to tackle the problem. The highlight was meeting the diverse group of people I would never meet on an ordinary day.""

Tarun Richards, Brand Manager, Humpty Doo Barramundi

The third and final challenge will be held on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 September and will deal with the topic: transitioning to renewable energy!

Space is limited, register your interest for the NT National Innovation Games.
